Three Things You Need to Know Before Buying an Automatic Fabric Cutting Machine

Three Things You Need to Know Before Buying an Automatic Fabric Cutting Machine

There are four major sofa production bases in China: Foshan in Guangdong, Chengdu in Sichuan, Xianghe in Hebei and Zibo in Shandong. These four production bases make up about 70% of the sofas produced in China. AMOR has offices in all four cities and has supplied the factories with more than 400 automatic fabric cutting machines.

Our customers recognize that our automatic cutting machines have helped to solve production problems throughout the industry. We were not the first automatic cutting machine manufacturer to enter the sofa industry, but we made the first machine that was completely suitable for the production of sofas.

Firstly, a significant innovation was the introduction of the automatic fabric laying correction system. Cutting fabric for sofas has three major difficulties: the cutting length of the fabric being more than 10m (for some sofas, 15m); a variety of fabric cutting; and a number of patterns (solved by intelligent software).

The original sofa cloth cutting machine could not feed the fabric accurately, so a long working table was used. Although this version of the equipment allowed mechanized fabric processing, the fabric still needed to be laid manually and labor costs were not reduced. Also, because the machine used a splicing method, after a long period of use, the platform was prone to collapsing, and the continuous cutting of fabric on a long working table lessened its stability. This type of machine could not achieve full automation in the production of sofas and was simply taking up space at the factory.

AMOR learned of this situation, put all of its research and development resources into finding a solution and created a fully automated system to spread fabric for accurate feeding and to overcome the obstacle of elastic fabric stretching out of shape during the feeding process.

Due to the successful development of automatic spreading, the cutting of sofa cloth is no longer limited by length. Theoretically, the size of the cloth to be cut is unlimited, efficiency is improved and only one person is needed to pick up the pieces of cloth during the entire cutting process.

Secondly, in addition to the brilliantly imaginative machine itself, intelligent processing software is needed to manufacture different models of sofas.

1.    The software is equipped with an ultra-fast size-changing function. In one minute, the size of the sofa can be longer or shorter or customized according to a customer’s wishes.
2.    You can set the cutting direction of the fabric according to the requirements of the sofa being produced.

3.    Can be achieved between the two sets of different patterns of sofa exchange, only one key copy can be achieved sofa model management, without the complexity of paper model management

4.    In two minutes, you can achieve rapid nesting to provide customers with the best nesting plan that will save about five percent of the fabric.

Thirdly, based on the actual production process, customers recommend practical solutions. Customers want equipment that meets the needs of their particular production conditions. They don’t want to just throw a dart and see where it lands, and they don’t want to spend money on equipment that ends up being useless to them, like the client who bought an expensive multi-layer cutting machine only to find that it was not suitable for his business because most of his orders were custom or small batch (less than 20 sets). The multilayer was too expensive to operate for the low volume and custom orders. suitable for more than 20 layers of fabric cutting, cannot meet the low volume and custom orders His machine sits idle.

So how do customers buy the correct equipment? According to our experience, we propose that they cannot simply consider their annual output, but must factor in the types of orders: high-volume orders, small quantities, and customized orders.

The MCK CNC machine works best for high-volume orders (needing more than 30 layers of fabric cut) with an annual output of 15,000 sets of sofas. The capital investment is large, but this equipment will definitely optimize production.

The SFK CNC machine is suitable for small quantities of orders needing 20 layers of fabric cut and an annual output of more than 6,000 sets. The SFK can meet single-layer cutting and 4-6 layers of fabric. The SFK reduces the input costs and is a good solution to small batch production orders. The MCK machine is too expensive to operate in this situation.

The SCL and SFK machines are suitable for single-volume and single-cut orders with an annual output of about 3,000 sets. They are excellent solutions for customized orders.

The above principles can be used as guidelines by customers. AMOR is always happy to consult with customers and provide our expertise in the sofa industry. More than anything, we want you to find the perfect automated cutting solution for your business.
